Head of DevOps требуется  в департаменте Kyriba Minsk

A big start-up in FinTech area Kyriba Corp. is looking for Head of DevOps to bring DevOps team on a new operational level. We need a technical leader with ability to implement complex POCs/tasks and who is able to lead Kyriba project transformation in DevOps area from startup to real production level with big customers from Fortune 500.

We use cutting edge technologies to deliver a flagship corporate treasury management system to such world-known companies as Nestle, Peugeot, Swift, Citroen, Ferrero and many others. The project is stable, has well-defined processes and challenging tasks.  Our team consists of motivated, dynamic and highly talented developers, testers and managers.  The development processes are based on Agile SCRUM framework.

Team structure:

The development team is located in Minsk and Paris and is run by a highly experienced manager. Minsk team consists of 65 professionals.

Position Objective:

  • Process

    • Apply development processes

    • Apply continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) processes

    • Apply continuous improvement process

  • Planning

    • Follow up releases/projects deadlines for ID module

    • Plan and follow up tasks for him/herself and subordinates

    • Help subordinates execute their activities

    • Follow up changes in tasks based on priorities

  • People

    • Сontrol external communication carried out by subordinates

    • Do hiring activities

    • Control and plan improvement of team qualification

    • Train the team

  • Communication

    • Interact with Paris (tasks planning, requirements clarification, code review)

    • Interact with Minsk Dev and Test team managers (delivery process control)

Activities:

  • Process & Tools

    • Apply defined  and Continous Integration and Delivery processes and workflows

    • Apply defined development processes and workflows, including unit-tests, TDD, BDD.

    • Organize and control integration and deployment tools development and support

    • Organize and control daily DevOps activities (deployments, test team support, etc)

    • Organize training for process & tools update for the DevOps  team

    • Continuous improvement on process & tools

    • Organize preliminary CRs analysis and investigations (without clear requirements)

    • Apply best practices (organize code review, daily stand-ups, etc).

  • Planning

    • Manage team’s capacity and coordinate planning

    • Track tasks execution on schedule

    • Provide technical and organisational assistance in case of difficulties with tasks implementation

    • Weekly reporting on progress

    • Coordinate Change Requests & Defect fixes planning with Paris management and TechOps Team

  • People

    • Ensure that collaboration with Test Team, Development Team, and Product Managers is effective and efficient

    • Active participation in the hiring process

    • Perform and track DevOps Team members evaluation process

    • Knowledge transfers and cooperation during implementations for team members

    • Propose & organize (when it’s suitable) team training on technologies & management  

  • Communication

    • Interact with Paris:

      • responding to mail (rapidly)

      • prepare requested information

      • provide forecast for delivery readiness

      • organize clear information flow

    • Interact with Dev Team & Test team manager:

      • discuss and clarify changes requested for DevOps  tools

      • continuous integration and build delivery process reviewing and improvement

      • patches/hotfixes creation and integration process

      • initiate urgent and unplanned assemblies and deliveries

Requirements:


Technical:

Primary (mandatory):

  • Basic knowledge of OOP (Java or any other OO language)

  • Familiarity with source control tools, especially Git

  • Experience in scripting with Bash, Ant, Gradle, PowerShell

  • Experience with  CI, build and deployment automation tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)

  • Experience in deployment automation tools like Chef, Docker, Vagrant

Secondary (optional, giving advantage over other candidates):  

  • Degree from IT college prefered (High education is not mandatory)

  • Experience in Linux and Windows Server administration is preferred

  • Oracle DB knowledge is preferred

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, especially Ganglia, CheckMK, Graphite

  • Experience with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services

  • Experience with Vmware vSphere

  • Ability to manage team’s tasks with deadlines
